What are the general requirements to rent a car with Econorent Car Rental?


• Be older than 24 years old.
• Citizens: Valid ID card and Driving License.
• Non-Citizens: Valid ID card or passport and Driving License from country of origin or international license.

Is there a minimum cancellation notice required or a fee to pick up the car?


• Yes, and we only accept the cancellation notice required from the Credit Card voucher.
• No checks or cash are accepted.


Which are the valid forms of payment?

 

• Tarjeta de crédito American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Diners.
• Tarjeta de débito, cheque o efectivo.

What does the rental amount include?


•The rental amount incluyes unlimited time and mileage plus coverages.

Is there any additional charge besides the prices shown in the web page?

 

•For rentals in Santiago there will be an additional charge of $3.950 + IVA corresponding to tax for Toll Highways device usage.
•For rentals made in the aiport offices there will be a charge of 6%+ IVA over the total amount corresponding to the Airport Fee.
•The vehicle when rented has full fuel tank and must be returned in the same conditions. Otherwise you will have an extra charge.

 

What do coverages incluye?

 

•Damage and Theft, third party and limited damage coverages

 

Can I leave the country in the vehicle?

 

•Only to Argentina with the corresponding internacional permit that has to be requested with a minimun of 7 days before renting date. When requesting the permit you must give your credit card data. If not using the permit you will be charged 100% of the total value of this.

 

Can I return the car abroad?


•No, the vehicle must be returned incide the country

Can I return the car in a different rental location?


•Yes, but an extra charge will be added depending on the distance between one location and the other.

How long does the reservation last?


•The car will be reserved two hours alter the pick up due time. After that time, the car will be available for renting again.

Can I register an additional driver?


•Yes, he/she must meet the same requirements of the owner driver and must be properly registered at the opening of the contract. There are no extra charges for additional drivers.
